Basic Butter Milk Buiscuts

This is the basic biscuit recipe I have used for years to make biscuits. It works great just remember to work the dough as little as possible or your biscuits will be dense and hard.

Ingredients: [‘flour’, ‘baking soda’, ‘baking powder’, ‘salt’, ‘butter’, ‘buttermilk’]

Quantity of Ingredients: [“2 cups flour”,”1/2 teaspoon baking soda”,”1 tablespoon baking powder”,”1 teaspoon salt”,”6 tablespoons butter”,”1 cup buttermilk”]

Number of Servings: 12

Steps: [‘Combine dry ingredients.’, ‘Cut in cold butter.’, ‘Add milk making sure dough is not to wet if needed ad milk to get consistency required.’, ‘Turn dough out on lightly floured surface and pat down to 3/4 inch thick do not use rolling pin.’, ‘Cut biscuits and place on ungreased baking sheet brush off excess flour.’, ‘Bake 450 F for about 10 minutes or until golden brown.’]
