I learned how to make this in high school, and have used it ever since then. You can make it with real butter, but I always use margarine.

Ingredients: [‘margarine’, ‘flour’, ‘sugar’, ‘baking powder’, ‘salt’, ‘2%25 low-fat milk’]

Quantity of Ingredients: [“1/4 cup margarine”,”1 1/4 cups flour”,”2 teaspoons sugar”,”2 teaspoons baking powder”,”1/2 teaspoon salt”,”3/4 cup 2% low-fat milk”]

Number of Servings: 8

Steps: [‘Heat oven to 450.’, ‘Place margarine into a 7″ x 11″ pan.’, ‘Put pan in oven to melt margarine, remove pan when margarine is melted.’, ‘Meanwhile, mix flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in a medium sized bowl.’, ‘Add milk and stir just until dough forms (it will be sticky).’, ‘Turn dough out onto a floured surface.’, ‘Knead dough 10 times.’, ‘Pat dough out flat into approximately the same size as your pan.’, ‘With a floured knife, cut dough into 8 strips.’, ‘Place each strip in the pan with the melted margarine, then turn the strip over, so it is covered with melted margarine on both sides.’, ‘Bake for 15 to 20 minutes, or until golden brown.’]
