From Libbie again; very old recipe; looks like a baked 3 layer apple coffee cake in layers.

Ingredients: [‘flour’, ‘salt’, ‘butter’, ‘water’, ‘cream’, ‘apples’, ‘sugar’, ‘cinnamon’, ‘butter’, ‘egg’, ‘sour cream’, ‘salt’, ‘sugar’, ‘coconut’]

Quantity of Ingredients: [“”,”2 cups flour, sifted “,”1/2 teaspoon salt”,”1/2 cup butter (she had SHORTENING here but I know she only used butter or lard)”,”3 tablespoons water”,”3 tablespoons cream”,””,”8 apples, peeled cored and sliced “,”1/2 cup sugar”,”1/2 teaspoon cinnamon”,”2 tablespoons butter”,””,”1 egg”,”1/2 cup sour cream (or sweet cream)”,”1/8 teaspoon salt”,”1/2 cup sugar”,”2 cups coconut, flaked “]

Steps: [‘Sift flour and 1/2 teaspoon salt together.’, ‘Cut in the butter until the mixture resembles coarse cornmeal.’, ‘Add 3 tablespoons water and 3 tablespoons cream together until blended.’, ‘Turn onto a floured board.’, ‘Roll out to fit a 15×10 inch pan; I would use a 9×13 pan.
