Raw Chocolate Bars

This recipe is a base for raw chocolate bars. You can add other ingredients as you like. Some good choices are nuts, nut butters, dried fruit, or cacao nibs. You can also tweak the ratio of cacao:fat:sweetener to your liking.

Ingredients: [‘raw cacao powder’, ‘cocoa butter’, ‘agave nectar’, ‘coconut oil’, ‘salt’]

Quantity of Ingredients: [“2 cups raw cacao powder”,”1/2 cup cocoa butter”,”1/2 cup raw agave nectar”,”1/2 cup coconut oil”,”1 pinch salt”]

Number of Servings: 35

Steps: [‘Sift cacao powder into a large bowl.’, ‘Melt cocoa butter in a double boiler or bain marie over low heat (so as not to degrade the nutrients). Whisk occasionally. When almost melted, add coconut oil and whisk occasionally until melted.’, ‘Add butter and oil mixture to powder. Add agave. Add salt. Whisk until well combined.’, ‘Add fillings if desired.’, ‘Pour into molds. Freeze until hard. Store in the refrigerator.’]
