Chet Atkins’ Coleslaw

A delicious, simple mayo-free cole slaw, from an classic guitarist! I like to add just under a teaspoon of finely minced or grated onion to this; but sometimes it’s nice to have “as is”. The amount of hot sauce can be adjusted, but I like it just like this.

Ingredients: [‘white vinegar’, ‘vegetable oil’, ‘sugar’, ‘dry mustard’, ‘hot sauce’, ‘salt’, ‘cabbage’]

Quantity of Ingredients: [“1/2 cup white vinegar”,”1/4 cup vegetable oil”,”1/4 cup sugar”,”1 teaspoon dry mustard”,”1/2 teaspoon hot sauce”,”1 teaspoon salt”,”1 head cabbage, very thinly shredded “]

Number of Servings: 6

Steps: [‘Whisk together the vinegar, oil,sugar, dry mustard, hot sauce and salt to combine. Pour onto cabbage and toss thoroughly. Chill a bit before serving.’]
