Pumpkin Pie Oatmeal

Warm, creamy and comforting, this oatmeal is like autumn in a bowl. If you don’t have time to make this in the morning, it can be made ahead time and reheated in the microwave. 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice may be substituted for the individual spices.

Ingredients: [‘rolled oats’, ‘brown sugar’, ‘ground cinnamon’, ‘ground ginger’, ‘ground cloves’, ‘salt’, ‘pepitas’, ‘low-fat milk’, ‘pumpkin puree’]

Quantity of Ingredients: [“1 cup rolled oats”,”4 teaspoons brown sugar, plus more for topping “,”1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon”,”1/4 teaspoon ground ginger”,”1/8 teaspoon ground cloves”,”1/8 teaspoon salt”,”2 tablespoons toasted pepitas (hulled pumpkin seeds)”,”2 cups low-fat milk”,”1/2 cup pumpkin puree”]

Steps: [‘In a large saucepan, combine the oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and salt. Pour in the milk and stir in the pumpkin puree until there are no lumps.’, ‘Bring to a simmer over medium-high heat.
