Winter Squash and Apples (Slow Cooker)

Found this recipe in the, “Simple 1-2-3,” Slow Cooker cookbook. Entering for Zaar World Tour 5 for Australia / New Zealand region.

Ingredients: [‘salt’, ‘black pepper’, ‘brown sugar’, ‘cinnamon’, ‘butternut squash’, ‘apples’, ‘onion’, ‘butter’]

Quantity of Ingredients: [“1 teaspoon salt”,”1/2 teaspoon black pepper”,”1/4 cup brown sugar”,”1/2 teaspoon cinnamon”,”1 (2 lb) butternut squash (pealed and seeded)”,”2 apples (cored and sliced)”,”1 medium onion (quartered and sliced)”,”1 1/2 tablespoons butter”]

Number of Servings: 4

Steps: [‘Cut squash into 2 inch pieces and place in slow cooker. Add apples and onions. Sprinkle salt and pepper and stir well. Cook on low for 6 to 7 hours.’, ‘Just before serving, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, and butter and stir in with squash, apples, and onions. Add additional salt and pepper to taste.’]
