Easy, quick and delicious, this recipe comes from the Southern chapter of the United States Regional Cookbook, Culinary Arts Institute of Chicago, 1947.

Ingredients: [‘firm bananas’, ‘butter’, ‘lemon juice’, ‘sugar’]

Quantity of Ingredients: [“6 firm bananas”,”2 tablespoons butter, melted (no substitutions)”,”2 tablespoons lemon juice, fresh is best “,”1/3 cup sugar”]

Number of Servings: 6

Steps: [‘Preheat oven to 350°F.’, ‘Remove skins from bananas, cut in halves lengthwise and place in a shallow pan.’, ‘Mix butter, lemon juice and sugar together; cover bananas.’, ‘Bake for ten minutes and serve hot.’]
